What is a Wet Room and Why Do I Want a One?
A Wet Room is a room in which the walls and floor have been completely waterproofed, so that the whole room can be used as a shower area. Wet rooms also have a gently slopped, titled floor with a grated drain, so that all of the water can drain away quickly after the shower has been used. Some wet rooms have a glass screen in them, which is used to separate the shower zone from other areas in the room, where there could be a wash basin, a urinal or a toilet. Wet rooms are particularly useful old people who have decreased mobility and find traditional showers and baths difficult to use. Wet rooms have been very popular in Europe for centuries, but more and more people from America are now choosing to install a wet room in their home, as they provide a minimalistic, modern, attractive, affordable, practical showering solution.
